Carrier 58DLA13510016 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that decides when the air is warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Key symptoms of a bad critical limit switch
- The HVAC system starts to ramp up but then stops frequently
- The HVAC system will not even start or will not stay running like it should
