Carrier 58DLX07010012 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is an important safety feature that can sense the appropriate flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the flame sensor is triggered the whole system stops until the problem is repaired.
General indicators that your safety flame sensor will die soon
- The heat system is unwilling to begin working and will shut everything down
- The gas will not begin an ignition sequence and shuts itself off
- HVAC system starts infrequently when it thinks it should
