Limit switches exist because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that makes the determination when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
Major clues of a weakening critical limit switch
- System will not begin nor will it stay running longer than a minute
