Carrier 58DLX09010014 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be dissipated. Just make certain you get the similar voltage and amps as on the current fan motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and helps you save some money.
Major symptoms your fan motor will need replacing
- A specific screeching sound as the motor starts or stops
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn at all
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out when it is spinning
