Energy conversion kits are limited and are not made for every furnace. Buying a conversion kit is only possible for those that are designed to be able to handle a switch. A conversion kit allows a furnace to switch energy sources from a particular energy source to something different, maybe from heating oil to electric or vice versa. If you decide to buy one you will probably want to have it installed by your local HVAC guy, so as to remain safe from catastrophe.
