Carrier 58DLX11010012 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
Important signs critical limit switch should need replacing
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run like it is supposed to
- Your system begins to become unpredictable more than once
