Carrier 58GS Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
What are the signs that the main limit switch is in need of replacing?
- The whole system is beginning to become inconsistent more often than not
- System will not initiate or run well for any length of time
