Carrier 58MCB120 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be dissipated. The unit may be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this will reduce install time and cheaper too. Just make certain the new motor has the same voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor.
What signals that my main cooling fan motor is in need of a replacement?
- The motor starts to smoke or sparks while it is spinning
- You can hear a grinding noise as the motor is just starting
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn at all
