Carrier 58MCB120 Expansion Valve
Almost all AC systems have an expansion valve that makes it easier for the refrigerant to spread back into gaseous form from a high pressure liquid state. Any air conditioner would most likely give you heated air without a working expansion valve.
Warnings the expansion valve will need to be replaced
- AC takes way too long in attempting to keep the home at a comfortably cold temperature
- Air flow is much warmer than it used to be streaming from the vents
