Carrier 58MCB120 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that senses, or governs, when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then the house will never get warm enough.
Hints of a declining limit switch
- The system begins to behave differently more often than not
- Your Carrier system will not initiate nor will it stay running longer than a minute
