The heat element allows fresh air to be warmed before it is circulated through the ducts. Your furnace will find it impossible to produce any warmed air to efficiently heat, if the heat element is faulty.

- Furnace element finds it difficult to heat up or not warm enough to produce heat due to being worn out
- The heating element itself does not look well, dented and about to fall apart
- Heat is not being produced by your furnace at all
