Carrier 58MSA06012112 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. The main reason limit switches are made is because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
General indicators that your limit type switch is dying
- The whole system begins to become inconsistent more often than not
- The heating and AC system will not begin or run as it should
