Carrier 58MTA100 Limit Switch
Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch is a switch in the heating area that determines when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower.
What to see if the limit switch is dying?
- The system is beginning to run erratically more often than not
- The heating and cooling system will not even start nor will it stay running as it should
