A gas valve is the regulator of all of the gas as it flows into the main unit. This valve is probably controlled by the control board attached to your heating and cooling system, if it is equipped with one.
Signals of an ailing gas valve
- Furnace will not light
- System refuses to start
- You smell gas
- The valve looks damaged
