Carrier 58MVB040F10114 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that determines when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated. Limit switches were created because if the air never warms up then the house will never get warm enough.
What are the signs that the limit switch needs replacing?
- The system is beginning to ramp up but then stops on more than one occasion
- System refuses to start nor will it stay running longer that five minutes
