A conversion kit would allow a conversion from a particular energy source to another, perhaps from heating oil to propane that needs to be delivered or vice versa. Energy conversion kits do not exist for all furnaces. Buying one is possible for certain types that are designed to be able to handle a switch. If a conversion kit is available for your system you should consider having it installed by someone in the HVAC field, so it conforms to local code.
