Carrier 58MVB120F10120 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, that has a fluctuating resistance that will fluctuate depending on the current temperature. The main control board reads the temperature throughout the whole system to make a decision on what needs to be done. They can tell the heating and cooling system when a temperature reaches a certain point.
Simple signals the system thermister is failing
- Main blower may refuse in the attempt to engage full speed spinning
- The AC and heat system may not even start because of any thermistor that is damaged
