The blade attached to the fan motor on the AC condenser has an important job of dispersing the heat energy that is released by the compressor. Most blades are built from heavy duty metal, but they may not hold up from one year to the next for whatever reason.
Major indications the blade is failing
- The edges of the cooling blade are whittled down or disfigured due to the outdoor elements
- The fins of the blade appears potted or bent due to being outside
- It appears to severely wobble as it gets turned and trying to cool the compressor
