The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that can sense the proper flame upon ignition. As with other safety devices, if the sensor generated a error the furnace will not start for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my flame sensor is almost dead?
- LP or natural gas has difficulty trying to begin igniting and the control shows an error
