Carrier 58MVP060 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that decides if and when the air is warm enough for the blower to be activated. The reason limit switches exist is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Clues of a weak limit type switch
- The system is beginning to shut down unexpectedly on a regular basis
- System is unable to start or run longer than 10 minutes
