Carrier 58MXA040 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Some warnings critical limit switch has to be replaced
- The whole system starts to act weird from time to time
- The heating and AC system refuses to kick in or run longer than 10 minutes
