The defrost sensor board will begin the defrost sequence which may be needed in order to continue normal heating and cooling operations. It depends on a temperature sensor located somewhere by the condenser to make the decision on when to begin.
What to see if the defrost board is almost dead?
- AC and heating system could end up not running due in part to way too much frost build-up
- The main control board could signify a particular error code produced by a failing defrost board
- Unit defrost session never begins even when there is a large quantity of frost in the way
