Carrier 58MXA100 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination if and when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
What are some hints that my limit switch has a need to be replaced?
- The system is beginning to initiate and then stops more than once
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
