A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch located in the furnace that determines when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. A limit switch was crafted because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough.

- System is unable to start or continue to run longer than 30 seconds
- The system is beginning to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly occasionally
