A normal limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower. Limit switches were created because if the air never warms up the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
How do you know when your main limit switch has a need to be replaced?
- The Carrier system begins to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more often than not
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running like it is supposed to
