Carrier 58MXA120 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that can determine when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches exist because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my main limit switch is in need of replacing?
- The HVAC system will not start or will not stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The whole system is beginning to become inconsistent repeatedly
