Carrier 58MXB040F10112 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warm enough for the blower to be activated.
Easy warnings main limit switch is going to die
- The heating and cooling system will not even start or run for any significant length if time
- The Carrier system begins to runs spotty more than once
