The main heat element lets the air be heated prior to being dispersed all around the home. Your heating system is unable to produce any warmed air to efficiently heat, if your heat element goes bad.
How do you know if your Carrier heat element is dying?
- Little to no heat being supplied by the heat element for an extended period of time
- Heat element looks eroded, charred and falling apart
- The element itself will not get warm or get to max heat temp any longer
