Carrier 58MXB060F10108 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that can determine if and when the air is actually warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
How do you know if your limit switch most likely is about to stop working?
- Your Carrier system refuses to kick in or run longer than a minute
- Your system is starting to act weird on more than one occasion
