Carrier 58RAV Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, which has a resistance that changes as it depends on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. They tell the system control board when a temperature in increasing or decreasing. The main control board reads the temperature in certain areas to do its job as it should.
Subtle hints the system thermister is dead
- Blower motor refuses in the attempt to engage full speed
- The system could never start up due to a inaccurate thermistor
