The main ignition control board keeps an eye on the natural gas, the igniter and some other sensors. It is an important board that some manufacturers have decided to blend to be a part of the main control board instead of its own individual board.
Key signs of an unhealthy main ignition board
- Any other device within the furnace is inspected and seems to be all right
- The electrical signal from the main thermostat does not make it to the main control board
