Limit switches exist because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch is a switch located in the furnace that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Major indications limit switch will need to be replaced
- System will not even start or run even though max temp has not been reached
- Your system begins to behave differently frequently
