Carrier 58STA110 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be dissipated. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and reduce costs overall. Be sure you get the similar voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor.
How do you know when your Carrier fan motor has to be replaced?
- The Carrier motor cannot turn at all
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks when it begins to turn
- A terrible crackling noise when the motor starts or stops
