Carrier 58STX04510012 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be discharged into the air outside. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced individually as this can make the installation go smoother and it is something you can do yourself.
Main clues the fan motor will need to be replaced
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin the blade
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out while in use
- An ugly grinding sound while the motor speeds up
