Carrier 58TUA Limit Switch
Limit switches are crucial due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that makes the determination when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower.
What to see if the limit type switch really is crapping out?
- The heating and AC system will not start or run well longer than a minute
- The Carrier system is starting to act differently more than once
