A very basic thermistor is a thermal resistor, that has a fluctuating resistance that is altered by current temperature. The heating and cooling system takes the temperature in order to do its job correctly. They inform the circuit board when the temperature in increasing or decreasing.
What are some hints that my system thermister is crapping out?
- The main fan may fail in its attempt to engage full speed
- The entire system may never start up depending on which is the inaccurate thermistor
