Carrier 58WAV Limit Switch
The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that determines when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What happens when my limit type switch really is crapping out?
- The heating and AC system refuses to start nor will it stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The Carrier system is beginning to run erratically more than once
