Carrier CPHEATER052A00 Cooling Fan Blade
The blade attached to the fan motor for the outdoor portion of a split system is dutied with scattering the enormous amounts of heat energy that is released by the compressor. Because the blade is always in the elements they may break out of nowhere for reasons involving humans, animals or even nature itself.
Clues to watch for to know the cooling blade is dying
- The fan blade looks potted or damaged due to being exposed to mother nature
- It appears to severely wobble as it is spun and trying to cool the compressor
- Edges of the fins are whittled down or damaged for some reason
