Carrier DR Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board instructs the outdoor unit to begin the defrost sequence which may be necessary to defrost your outdoor unit. It looks to a sensor located near the condenser to decide when the defrost cycle should begin.
Major clues your Carrier defrost sensor board has little life left
- Your system could stop functioning at all because of the safety features installed
- Your main control board may show an error of some type produced by a bad defrost control board
- The defrost sequence will not initiate especially when there is a rather large amount of frost on the unit
