Carrier FE4ANB006000AAAA Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will consistently detect the proper flame during ignition. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the flame sensor gets set off the whole HVAC system will remain stopped for as long as the problem remains.
Indications your furnace flame sensor is dead
- The heat system cannot supply heat when you have it set to
- The entire heating system will sort of operate infrequently when the time is right
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace refuses to begin an ignition sequence and closes the gas valve
