Carrier FNCCAB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dispelled into the air. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and cheaper for you. Please make sure the new motor has the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor.
Major indications the condenser fan motor is going to die
- You may hear screeching sound when the motor speeds up
- The Carrier motor cannot turn at all
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or sparks as it turns
