Carrier FNCCAB Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that senses the acceptable flame during ignition. Due to the overall safety issue, when the flame sensor is activated the whole system stops until the problem is fixed.
Main clues the primary flame sensor will need replacing
- LP or natural gas cannot begin igniting and shuts itself off
- The unit will operate sometimes whenever it pleases
- Your furnace is unwilling to work and shuts down
