Your system definitely will not be able to function lest the circuit board is correctly installed. The control board is designed to command everything including the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all together. The chosen circuit board must have a matching part number consistent with both the brand and model of the system you have installed. You must do some research when you choose a replacement because of the diversity of heating and cooling systems.
General warnings of a faulty control board
- The system has to be turned off and back on often for the furnace or AC to kick on
- Your HVAC unit refuses to operate whatsoever
