Carrier FV4CNB005 Limit Switch
The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that determines when the air is actually warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation.
What are some indications that my limit type switch really is almost dead?
- The heating and cooling system will not even start or will not stay running longer that five minutes
- The Carrier system starts to behave differently more often than not
