Your furnace will find it impossible to produce enough heat for the house if your heating element is somehow defective. The heating element causes the air to be heated up before it is dispersed through the ducts.
General indicators that your your primary heating element is dead
- Little to no heat being delivered by your HVAC system whatsoever
- Furnace element can not get warm or not hot enough to generate heat because it is probably worn out
- Heat element seems old, rusty and in rough shape
