Carrier GT-G Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The motor can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and will reduce the costs you need to pay. It is critical that the new motor has the similar voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor.
Warnings the cooling fan motor is going out
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- A constant screeching sound as the motor is just starting
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound as it is used
