Carrier GT-PX Control Board
The Carrier GT-PX control board is made to regulate everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. Most systems will not operate whatsoever without the control board in place and connected. The board that you will choose will have to match part numbers the brand and the model of HVAC system. Be absolutely sure when you decide to replace your control board due to the many differences between particular brands and their models.
Signs of a poorly performing main circuit board
- When turned on, there is some sort of code lit up on the circuit board
- The control board has to be reset more often than not for it to kick in
- The AC or furnace is unable to initialize at all
