Carrier GT-PX Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dissipated. It is critical that the replacement motor has the same voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor. The motor can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this tends to make things easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay.
Subtle hints the cooling fan motor needs replacing ASAP
- The Carrier motor does not move at all
- The motor begins to smoke or sparks when it is spinning
- A distinct grinding noise as the motor is just starting
