Carrier GT-PX Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board controls when to launch the defrost sequence which may be needed in order to keep your outdoor unit from plugging up. The defrost board depends on a specific sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to agree when the defrost cycle should begin.
Signals of a laboring defrost board
- The primary control board could signify a particular error code referring to a failing defrost control board
- Defrost mode has not run for a while even though there is a lot of frost on the unit
- The AC may end up not running for the simple fact of too much frost
