Carrier GT-PX Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that can reliably detect the exact flame upon ignition. As with any other safety sensor, if the sensor get triggered everything remains shut off until that particular problem is fixed.
Major signs the primary flame sensor will have to be replaced
- The type of gas you use has problems trying to burn and some type of error flashes on the main board
- The entire heating system will sometimes work sporadically at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
- The heat system will not begin working when the control board tells it to
